Recently, I have been exploring personality and character through portraits. The incorporation of portraits in past Frames in Time is not new. Previously, they were cartoon-like figures that were a part of a larger ensemble.

In this current work, portraits are presented as singular individuals—digital paintings drawn on an iPad, usually from memory, sketches, or photos. Simple line captures profile and bold color captures temperament.
