Fragments
Fragments
Stories are told by assembling visual images. Each image is a fragment of a place or of life, that may also resurface as part of a new context. These frames in time are also fragments, organized in a grid to establish a framework to tell a story.
Within a grid of cells, a story is built. Sometimes, the story is told within a single cell, but often the narrative, like life itself, is more complex and layered. Line, color, and texture extend beyond a single cell to inform the work’s overall composition.
